International Women’s Day is around the corner, what are you doing about it? Are you making an impact on society for women or waiting for someone else to do it? This year, on 8th March, commence your journey to aid and campaign for equal recognition, equal pay, or any other issue with the Choose to Challenge theme. This is the perfect opportunity to ignite the spark within you. Take a look at the few ways on how to support #ChooseToChallenge for a better world. Presence on Social Media Presence on Social Media Everyone is aware of the power of social media, how it can make or break careers, increase the coverage of a social affair and bring people to justice. No matter how big or small, your presence on social media has a lasting effect as it influences another person’s thoughts. This International Women’s Day, take up the Choose to Challenge theme by taking a photo of yourself with a raised hand. This act shows how you are making a difference to raise awareness about the prevalent gender bias. Acknowledge Other Women women-acknowledgement Be it your wife, mother, sister, daughter, or friend, acknowledge them for being amazing, strong, passionate, and ambitious. Women empowerment can only be achieved when women bolster one another instead of criticizing each other. Don’t keep this act only for the 8th March; make it a part of your daily routine to appreciate and encourage women around you to do better. Challenge Yourself Challenge-Yourself Before bringing a change into the world, it is essential to implement that change in yourself first. This year, keeping the Women’s Day theme in mind, challenge yourself to become a fierce supporter of women empowerment. Bring this shift in your life by challenging yourself to do things you avoid or neglect daily. To name a few, be kind to yourself, don’t judge women by their looks, and assist women struggling in their respective fields. Advocate for Gender Equality  gender-equality You can be a teacher, homemaker, professor, or carpenter- your profession and lifestyle should not stop you from educating women about their fundamental rights. You can be anyone and yet guide women and raise a voice against discrimination. To advocate for gender equality, you don’t to be someone with a high-ranking job; you need to be a person with an unyielding will who wants to bring a change. Stand up for the smallest and simplest needs, as long as you make your and other women’s voices heard. International Women’s Day is the time when the inner voice awakens for a lot of people. Don’t let this be the case for you. Enforce any of these methods in your schedule to achieve women’s empowerment and eradicate gender inequality truly.
