What to add in Hot Chocolate
Winter is a lot of fun for many reasons, but hot chocolate tops it all. While you may have your own recipe, we are here to help you add some fussy warmth to it.

A few toppings to sprinkle on your hot chocolate:

Toffee (any flavour) Candy Cane (crushed or as it is) Whipped Cream (in a swirl) Chocolate Shavings (dark and white chocolate) Chocolate truffles (for even more sweetness) Marshmallows (with or without roasting) Check out what all you can add in hot chocolate to make it a cup of joy.

Coffee

Coffee Need a morning boost with some sweetness? Add a spoon of coffee to your already brewing hot chocolate to give you a big dose of energy. You can also opt for a coffee liqueur for extra energy!

Flavoured Marshmallows

Flavoured Marshmallows Yes, marshmallows are the holy grail of hot chocolate. However, we are taking a different turn by pouring in flavoured marshmallows, like cookie dough and mint.

Shot of Alcohol

Shot of Alcohol It's never too early or late to drink hot chocolate, so why not uplift your mood with a 15ml or 30ml shot of alcohol. Opt for Kahlua, whiskey, bourbon or Irish cream for that extra warmth.

Peppermint

Peppermint It is never too cold for mint freshness. You can either crush a mint candy or add mint extract to your drink for a cosy afternoon. If you have neither, opt for mint leaves for the same essence.

Dark Chocolate

dark chocolate Every hot chocolate lovers dream is to have some bitter chocolate in their drink. The best way to achieve that is by putting a few cubes of dark chocolate while it's still cooking.

Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice Add some flavour to your regular hot chocolate with pumpkin spice. A dash of it will leave you feeling warm and joyful for hours.

White Chocolate

White Chocolate Not a chocolate fan? Ditch the traditional cocoa-based hot chocolate by adding in the white one. You can use either white chocolate chips or pieces.

Orange Zest

Orange Zest This may sound a bit absurd but adding orange zest to your hot chocolate while it's still brewing will leave you in awe. The subtle taste and smell of the orange will make you thank us later.

Nutella

Nutella Every chocolate lover's dream is to enter the hot chocolate season, and it is incomplete without a spoonful of Nutella.

Caramel

Caramel Is your hot chocolate not sweet enough? Instead of adding sugar or chocolate chunks, go for a spoon of caramel syrup. The sweet richness of caramel will give a lovely twist to your otherwise mundane hot chocolate drink.

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla Extract hot chocolate If you can add vanilla extract to your brownies and cakes, why not to your hot chocolate? Bring in more sweetness and smoothness with a small spoon of the vanilla extract while your drink is in progress.
