      • Since plants are seasonal in nature, flowering plants might be delivered without them.
      • A majority of our orders are delivered on time as per the time slot selected.
      • This is not met in very rare cases where the situation is beyond our control viz., traffic congestion enroute, remote address for delivery, etc.
      • The delivery cannot be redirected to any other address once the order is prepared for delivery.
      • Although we try not to, occasionally substitution of plants are done due to temporary and/or regional unavailability issues.

      Care Instructions

      • Water : Areca palms need regular watering, but overwatering can make it susceptible to root rot and turn its leaves brown. During the spring and summer months, water your areca palm often enough to keep the soil lightly moist. In the fall and winter, let the soil dry slightly in between waterings.
      • Temperature : Areca palms need high humidity and temperatures between 65°F and 75°F (16°C – 24°C). Prune occasionally and don't cut off brown tips from the leaves as it can cause the whole frond to die. The clumping palm houseplant has a look similar to bamboo.
      • Light : Areca plants like bright, filtered sunlight, but they also can tolerate full sun. Ideally they should have protection from strong afternoon sun, as too severe of light can scorch the foliage. Indoors, areca palms do best with bright light exposure from a south- or west-facing window.
      • Fertilizing : Fertilize areca palm plants with a time-release fertilizer in spring. This gives the plant most of the nutrients it needs for the entire season. The fronds benefit from a micronutrient spray in summer. You can use a liquid houseplant fertilizer that contains micronutrients for this purpose.
      • The areca palm is a medium sized palm tree, which can grow up to 20m in height. The trunk is small varying from 10cm till 15 cm in diameter. Its leaves can grow till 1,5m till 2 m long and the branch with the leaves have a pinnate shape. The fruit is oval shaped, orange colored and bears a hard single seed.
