      • Salvia is the largest genus of plants in the sage family Lamiaceae, with nearly 1000 species of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals.
      • Within the Lamiaceae, Salvia is part of the tribe Mentheae within the subfamily Nepetoideae.
      • Plant Height - 5-10cm(Approx).

      • About Plant - Salvia is the largest genus of plants in the sage family Lamiaceae, with nearly 1000 species of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals. Within the Lamiaceae, Salvia is part of the tribe Mentheae within the subfamily Nepetoideae.
      • Water - Salvia do not require a great deal of water. Over watering can rot the roots so 1 inch of water every 7-10 day is sufficient.
      • Temperature - The ideal temperature range for the plant is about 15 - 27C
      • Care Tips - Add a 2-inch layer of mulch around the Salvia plant to retain moisture and control weeds.
      • Light Requirement- Preferes Full sun, 6 hours of sunlight a day is needed to promote flowering. There are varieties that will also tolerate partial shade.
